Inspiring Story on a Baby Girl - Destiny Zoe Oh

Today, while enjoying the last few days of my 1-week leave at hometown, a short story shown on TV caught my attention and put me into tears within seconds.

It is the life of a baby named Destiny Zoe Oh. The best luck she had was to live for 3 days in her life. She was one of the Edwards Syndrome babies. Due to the incompleteness of her body, every breath she took was very difficult for a tiny baby girl. Seeing the sufferings a baby girl has to bear to catch her breath, her parents told her, "if you would like to live, you have to try harder, however, if it is too painful to bear, it is alright to give up. We still love you no matter what. And, we are blessed to be able to see you." Finally, on the third day of her life, she has left our world forever. She never gets to experience the life we are living now. The only familiar environment she recognized was her mother's womb and ICU. The suffering she beared is beyond what we could imagine.

Life is short and full with suffering. However, we have given a healthy body and mind to live through so many years. Despite of the unbearable pain and discomfort, the sick baby girl chose to live her life to the very last second, what rights are there can we healthy adult complain about life? We are much more lucky. We should appreciate the blessings we have to be alive for so many days, weeks, months and years. At least, we get to feel the world, understand the people around us, communicate with other living creatures and explore the advancement of technology. Therefore, stay strong despite of the hardships that strike you and emotions that try to take control of you. We should try our best to live but, never to focus highly on the result of our effort. Happiness and health are the two important elements that I personally highly think of and emphasize in my current stage of my life.

A Little Thing that Brought Me to a Great Realization

He is the guy that,
when I am scared, he will be by my side
when I need him, he will try his best to be there;
even when he's really tired or when he's sleeping,
he would wake up, get out from the bed and guide me through the dark at night just because I told him that I was scared to go there alone.
This, makes him "the" guy.
People might think that a guy waking up in the middle of the night and accompany a girl to the kitchen isn't that great of a deal.
But to me, other than my dad, he is the second man who would do that for me.

Great Efforts Do Pay Off

Since the day I came to U.S., I have not updated anything here.
Feel sorry for those who have visited my blog for updates, especially my best friends.

This would be the first post written in U.S.

Around 4.45 am [ya, I know it's really late now. Daddy, don't scold me... IT'S HOLIDAY! just a few days. XD]
I began checking my FB and my email for updates after watching the whole tvb drama - 谈情说案. Had been wanted to watch it but I didn't have time for the whole drama. [I know I'll keep on watching until I have finished it, just like yesterday and today.]

But this is not the point.

It's about the great news I have found out after checking my email and blackboard!

Finally, after sending an email to my English professor, Joseph Scott, to ask him about my final grade, he replied me on the 18th morning!!! [but I didn't check till then.] He told me I got an A for the course! 930/1000
IT IS SO UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I thought I was going to get only an A- for it. All my efforts paid off!

Then, I quickly checked my blackboard to see if grades for other courses were out, and they are!!!

I have to thank my U.S. History TA, Darin Tuck, for giving me 96 for my finals. I would never expect such score for this course. It is so surprising! Because, without a complete study guide like the midterm before, I thought I was going to screw up the final, especially having 2 finals with only half an hour difference in between. [1-3pm: US History ; 3.30pm-5.30pm: Stat] I studied madly in my room. Kept memorizing the facts repeatedly. It was even the first thing that came to my mind when I woke up from my sleep the day before the two finals. Ah~ thank god... my efforts... they gave me the perfect reward. A minus is considered good enough. I feel really grateful.

Stat result has not yet updated. I guess it'll  be out by this coming Monday. Hope I did well. Stat final was a very risky exam. If there's a part of a question wrong, the answer for others would be wrong too. If so, it would be a disaster.  =(

As for Art Appreciation, final score is out but, she is still considering to curve the exam. Hopefully, I can get an A even though I did badly in final. got 12 questions, which is very unexpected cuz I studied very hard for it too. I can even remember what I've studied for the final. Because of the extra credits I got and the participation points she gave me, I think I have a high chance of getting an A. HOPEFULLY. pobi pobi...

It's the first time since college that I don't have to cry over my results for every semester. I don't have to feel so bad or depressed. It's the first time that I really work hard for those courses. erm...haiz, but I still have to admit that I did play a lot too. Like FB games, skype, chatting, online shopping, watching drama and series episodes thro PPS etc... No matter what, I feel like a crazy girl right now, for smiling involuntary, but having the feeling to cry too. I don't know why. It's a new feeling to me.

Anyway, I have to thank all my professors, instructors and friends who have helped me in this semester. I feel lucky to have known you, to have encountered such nice people.

Not to forget my mom, who has prayed for me. I was too nervous about the finals that I lost my confidence. Therefore, I asked my mom to pray for me, 拜神. She told me not to just rely on God. I should decide my destiny with my own effort. God can't help much without me working hard for my goals. Thanks for encouraging me, Mi~ I love you! I told you that I did study. Do you believe in me now? Since little, you have always scolded me for being a lazy pig. Always play and watch TV. You said you have never seen me studying before. Ya, you were right. I seldom studied in those years when I was in secondary school or primary school. I screwed up my first semester in INTI for playing too much like I used to before that. And I'll always remember the message papa sent me, "don't dig your own grave". Sorry for having both of you to worry about my results and health. I hope this great news will cheer you up, just like the night when you hugged me after we found out that I've gotten the scholarship. I know that this is just the beginning. I hope I won't let you down for the coming semester. I am  very sure that it's full of new challenges, maybe they are even tougher. But I have learned that "everyone's life is full with challenges. they seem very hard at first, but when we look back after solving them, they seem so easy".

Life with no challenges is not life.

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER TONIGHT

What a nice family I have.
And how nice my family has treated me, especially my dad and my elder sister.

Thank you for the help.

To wake me up to see the reality.

This help is really growing me up.

To understand the wonderful family I have.

Since Form 2, I have learned a good moral lesson - to thank people.

But I never thought that I will get to apply it to my family.

I thought I will going to apply to outsiders only.

Thank you guys, now I know.

And forever, I will remember.

Updates for Random Post

It's night meaning it's morning in Missouri.

So, I got my email from both International Student Coordinator and Selina Zhu (person who subleases her room to me).

The coordinator, Becky told me that I have to take both exams and Mizzou might prefer me to have my MMR vaccination there and TB test MUST be done there. Vaccination Cost: around $150!!! So expensive!

As for Selina, she replied me that the apartment is on the third floor, HIGHEST floor of the building.
I AM SO DEAD.
However, there is one good news. The shuttle bus is FREE! So, I can save $35.00. Awesome~

Digression:
I learned how to play Minesweeper today! I know I'm lame, for learning this game so late. Anyway, thanks to my dear Jishuen Kam. ^.^

Random

I dare not count down for the date. I know it's getting near. I do not dare to count if it's next week. Just let it be.

Ying Ting was saying that she hopes she can go to the states early. I was like "what?!". Ok, I really hope that I can stay longer here in Malaysia so that I can have a trip to JB. Hope to see him and his nephews. They are so "chu bi".
[From his brother's album]
-Ryan-

-Ronan running in the front, Ryan chasing at the back-

Too bad that even if I have finished packing all the things needed, I don't think my dad would allow me to go to KL or JB as well. He's scared that bad things like accident might happen or I might be too tired after the trip, etc. =(  I really wish I could go there.

Just finished packing one of my luggage bags. Weighed it on a normal weighting scale. 21-22kg. Now I have to think what to put in another luggage bag as base because most of my clothes have been put into the first bag to be the base. I think the second bag would mostly be filled with shampoos, toothpastes, cosmetics, facial cleansers, stationeries, shoes, inner wear, medicines and etc.

This morning, I received an email from my uni's officer, sending me a link containing my orientation schedule pdf file. Unhappy to realize that I have English Placement Exam and ALEKS Math Placement Exam on the same day which will be on 17th August in the morning 8am until afternoon. =( So I wrote an email to her, asking her whether I must take those exams and if I do, what are covered in the exams. Hopefully I'll receive her email by tonight. I have health screening on 16th as well. I think it might be TB test.

Recently, I just realized that The Reverse [the place where I'm going to live for a year] has no private bus for the residents. So, every month, I have to pay extra $35.00 for the bus fares. How disappointing. This makes me think of moving after staying there for a year. Hmm...I shall keep this thought to myself first.

Moreover, I have missed out one important aspect when I chose The Reserve. I wasn't aware that there are many floors in building of The Reserve. I don't actually know how many floors are there in one typical building, but I guess it's either 3 floors or 4. If I happened to live on the highest floor, it would be like living in Block S forth floor again. That was terrible!!! Imagine I reach there at noon with 2 huge luggages, total of 46kg plus with a hand luggage of 5kg plus a backpack. I have no idea how I am going to carry the two huge luggages where each weighs 23kg up to forth floor. Even if I live in third floor, this is going to be a huge pain in the ass. I just have to pray hard and hope that there's someone, may be  a maintenance guy will help me to carry those luggages for me, free. I think I'm running out of hope because I notice that I kept using "hope" for my problems.

Finally, it's DONE!

After struggling really hard for almost a month, I'm officially done with my housing. ^.^v

First of all, I felt really bad for breaking my promise to a girl. Luckily she has found someone. If not, I can't imagine how terrible the issue will be. I guess she definitely hates me now. So, again, I am sorry.

Secondly, thanks to Hoay Lynn, Lit Ung and Chi Kai in helping me for the room at The Reserve. If Hoay Lynn had not told me about the room, I wouldn't have found it. That was super helpful. Thanks a lot my pretty senior. As for Chi Kai, thanks for calling me and answering my questions. However, you gave me the wrong info about the way to pay online. As long as you have VISA or MASTERCARD, regardless of which bank and which country, you can pay online. And my facial expression turned to =.=" when I saw the back of my dad's credit card written "VALID WORLDWIDE" in capital letter. As for Lit Ung, thanks for spending time to listen to my whines and story, plus explaining to me the real situation to clear my mind.Thank you guys.

During the process of finding a suitable and great housing, my best friend, Lexie Lee has definitely been very helpful to me. She tried to help me in every possible ways which I felt really grateful to have her as my best friend, even until now or maybe in the future, I will remember it. Besides, when I nearly collapsed, Jishuen stood by my side, helping me to find available housing during the night until early morning when he could just sleep. I felt lucky to you by my side every time to back me up. Thank you, my dearest Lexie and Jishuen.

Guess how much do I have to pay? $1125.00
Yes! It is in Dollar, not Malaysia Ringgit.
Here is the breaking down of the total:
Deposit is $750 [two-month rent]
First installment payment is $375 [first-month rent]

Expensive huh? But it's nearer than the one I found in the first place. It's 2.4 miles away from my campus. The rent includes water, internet and all the other amenities. The great thing about it is that it's fully furnished with full-size bed, dresser, built-in computer desk, ceiling fan, couch, chair, coffee and end table, TV stand, dining room table, four chairs. [copy paste from the webpage. XD] Though I have no idea now of who I'll be living with but luckily it has individual bedroom lock. Plus, it's great to have bathroom attached to my bedroom.
Here's the example of floor plan:

By checking out his album, only then I know that his girlfriend is a good cook. I think I'll be going to his place quite often. ^.^ [paisei har...
Hope his girlfriend won't just cook specifically for him only. Haha! [I want 'tumpang']

p/s: I can wash the dishes after having the meal... heee heee...

But I Just Miss You Too Much

[Thanks for the rose and every other things]

[My dream was to study abroad together with my loved one]

[I'll try my best to live well]
[Though I might cry every night missing you]

I Hope Everything is Just a Dream

Have you ever wanted to wake up from a dream and every bad dreams and nightmares you have will just remain as dreams?

YES! I have always wanted it to happen. But...it never does.

For those who have read my previous posts, sorry guys, wrong info. I have some corrections to make here.

Corrections:
I am not going to stay 5 miles away from campus, instead, I think I will be staying less than 1 mile from campus. Do you think it's a good news? Yea, maybe you think so, but I am not sure about it.
Wondering why? Good! I am about to tell you. Remember the awesome, fantastic and great service Brookside Townhomes I mentioned and even put its link in my previous post? Yea, it gave my only room to others. The three girls who have signed the lease have found a friend to move in with them. Guess it's my fault for hearing wrong info. Thro the phone for the first time I asked "does it mean that I have to sign the lease, pay the rent and move in on the same day?" The other side of the phone, "yes, you can do that." So, stupid me, having no idea of what is security deposit, thought that I have to send them my scanned I-20 and the roommate matching questionnaire then everything is done. Overwhelmed by the room I thought I have reserved, I was very exciting and happy that day. And now? Brookside said I haven't paid the deposit so it's fine for them to give the room I wanted to the person which is found by the three girls. And that was the only room available!

What a great way to make me stay awake whole night crying and searching for housing online, hopefully can find a room to stay. Throughout the searching, I found a place called Providence Court & Providence Hills. They have some rooms left and they only offer 1 bedroom/1bathroom and 2bedroom/2bathroom. They expect people who want to rent to have found their own roommate or friend to rent together. 1bedroom/1bathroom is definitely too expensive, around $600-$700 though all the utilities are included. While the latter one, it's affortable since it's around $800 for two persons but the thing is I can't find anyone to stay with me because I am going to Missouri all alone. What a way to start my life in US.

However, in the end, I was too worried about not getting roommate and all the other rooms would be filled up. Hence, I decided to find University Place Apartment. Yes, it's really near to campus. But most people who have lived there give bad reviews and feedbacks. I have found out about it like long long time ago. That's why I kept finding other housings and calling them to ask for any available and affordable room. I was even glad to have found this room which is 5 miles (7.7 km) away from campus and it costs me $506 every month. (Exceeding the budget that JPA gives me by $6.)
http://www.uplace.com/lease_rate.htm

Lucky enough, there are still rooms available for 2bedrooms apartment and I can just rent for one room. I don't have to rent the whole apartment all by myself and find a roommate myself. Too bad the 3bedrooms are full. Speaking of this, I forgot to ask him how many bathrooms are available in the 2bedrooms apartment. I was talking to him about something (I forgot what was it about) and the phone call just ended suddenly due to the fact that my phone is out of credit. Haha. Not going to call him back until Tuesday morning (US) because Monday is the holiday for Independence Day in US.

It's good that the rooms are available now but I'm still worried that it won't be available again. Getting this room (if I really get it in the end) is somehow lucky. More appropriate meaning in Chinese would be “不幸中之大幸”。My mom still requests for this and that for a room. To me, it's good enough to have somewhere near campus to stay even though it might be a crappy one.

$ in $ out

After banking in the cheque into the bank, I went to Sri Gawa to stock up my stationery to US. Took this and that, ended up paying RM 25.10 for mechanical pencil, pencil leads (Buncho), 2 liquid correction pen (Pentel), 2 glue stick, and 3 highlight pens. Still, that wasn't enough. RM 20 were spent in Popular in Central Square. =.="
Now I am indeed poor.

Peng and I walked around in Central Square where he was finding external dvd rom and me, was looking at clothes and stationery. =P In the end, bought a piece of vest, just RM 10 and it fits me! ^.^ (hard to find clothes which fits me.

The vest will be worn inside of a T-shirt.

I like the shoulder part.

VISA Photo is Taken Today

As what the title stated, I went to have my VISA photo shoot today. Before that, Sik Hoe told me that his VISA photo test was rejected. =.=" I'm really scared mine end up the same too. Then I have to go for another one. The cost is very expensive. Mine is RM 13.00 for 4 tiny pieces of VISA photo.

Went to "Ten to Ten" near my house. Again, my photo was taken by a friend of mine who is working in that shop. He took 5-7 times for me due to the lighting which he was not satisfied with. So, my eyes were flashed with the white light for many times. Guess this is one of the reasons most people don't have good and natural expression for their passport, license, IC photos. Haha! Besides, it was very hot wearing the coat in that room, though he lowered the temperature of the air-conditional after awhile. ^.^

Yeah! I'm going out later with Ah Peng again since he's on his way back to sp and expected to reach after 4 p.m. What to do later? Play arcade games? Play left for dead 2 in CC? Go Sri Gawa to buy some stationery?

Oh Yeah! Just received a call from mom while writing this post. My salary for the 10-days work has reached. Gonna take the cheque from my mom's friend later. ^.^ Yeah Yeah Yeah~ Yippee Yippee Ha Ha! Hopefull I can go SG first before briefing! I don't want to be "grounded" in Malaysia. =(

So many things to do later. Have to pick up my photos around 5-6pm later too. Feel nice to have all the things done in one go. ^.^ Have to settle housings and visa tonight! The office of Brookside Townhomes has not yet replied my email. =.=" TWO DAYS already! Gonna call them again tonight. Don't wanna wait for email even if they said they will reply me. Just ask them on the spot and settle it. Really wasting my time and money.

Oh yeah oh yeah~ Most important thing would be my salary... Hehehe! ^.^ *start shaking and dancing*

Mizzou's SHC and Trulaske

Though I have called Brookside and wanted to ask them questions but the female manager seemed to be busy. I think I heard her saying that she was busy signing a lease agreement. She promised to reply my email in seconds... Yea yea yea... I don't think she will before I sleep because I have waited for an hour already.

While waiting for Brookeside Townhomes to reply my email, I checked out the Student Health Center of Mizzou. To my surprise, it is very informative and helpful! I really can't believe that the center has free yoga classes called the Yoga for Stress Management. (It's not really free because it's sponsored by our own paid student health fee.) I think they will only teach some simple yoga postures. Besides, they provide lessons on meditation called the iRest (Integrative Restoration, Yoga Nidra) which costs $40.00. It is stated that it helps to improve sleeps, reduce depression, anxiety and fear, improve interpersonal relations and increase sense of control in life. The class is 2 hours per week for the total of 8 weeks. These two are under stress reduction program. There are meal planning tips and sexual health advocate peer education provided by the center too.
http://studenthealth.missouri.edu/HP/stressresources.html

Mizzou also has Woman's Center. I guess other unis will also have that. But I really like the service provided by Mizzou. All these centers and information make me feel that Mizzou do care about the students. But for now, I have no idea of how those centers work, whether it's active and really helpful or not. Guess I shall just wait and see into it when I am there for my first semester.

Other than that, I also look through the upper level admission for Trulaske College of Business. To my concern, I found that upper level admission is only available in Feb and Sept. I definitely wish to get in and choose my major in Feb but I do not know whether I am able to do so. The eligibility is completion minimum of 45 semester credit hours and the admission is based on CGPA (Mainly is CGPA.) and availability of seat for the major chosen. However, the deadline is due in September for Feb admission. So, I have no idea whether I can apply or not because I thought I have to apply using my first semester result in Mizzou. I think I have to see my advisor. Trulaske has special extension for some students, such as good students who transferred into Trulaske and needs more time to complete requirements (I think I am in this category.) and so on, but extensions are for a semester only. On the other hand, it's scary to know that if the student has completed 60 or more semester hours but still couldn't get admitted to the Upper Level, then the student will be transferred out of business school!!!

Hungry...but it's too late to take food. =( Gonna sleep. Still have to take VISA photo later. (Definitely look ugly. sad.)

No Turning Back

There's no turning back now. If there's a way to turn back time, I would change my decisions. It's impossible to say that I have never regretted. If I did, then I would be a big liar.

There's only one thing I would want to change, which is unis that I applied.

First time knowing University of Wisconsin - Madison, I thought of applying. I think it's a pretty good school. Reasons I gave up?

1. Too many people are applying.
2. I thought it was hard to get admitted and I thought I must be admitted by Madison.
3. Priority date was 15th Dec 2009. I thought I must submit before that day.
4. We were too late to be officially together, hence, we don't have much time to decide which uni we want to go together because we have our own plans before we are together.

What now?

Going to University of Missouri-Columbia alone.

I was admitted by this uni in the end of Feb and received my I-20 in March, I think. This is the reason why I gave up applying to Ohio State University (OSU) in the last minute. My thought: no point applying to another extra uni when you have secured one. Don't waste the money.

Ended up being alone in Mizzou and four of my friends are going to OSU together.

It's fine. What's more? My first choice uni, University of Washington, gave me reply in late of June! So, while waiting for it, I can't do a thing for Mizzou! In the end, what I got was "Thank you for having interest in UW". How sad that was! Due to this factor, I am not able to get the housing I want. Spending all night to find for other housings, and the result? Most of the places are full! All my courage ran out last night. Tears flowing helplessly.

In the end, I found a place called Brookside Townhomes. Called them. Lucky to know that there are three rooms left for the plan I want which is the Four Rooms: Walkout. The place looks nice. (From photos on website) It's expensive. The basic is already $424.75 though the website states $387.75. With furnish (I don't know whether it's fully furnished or semi-furnished), they add-on $31.25, making the rent to be $456.00 per month. I dare not sign up for the utilities package because $474.75 per bedroom. ($50.00 per month) I don't have sufficient money to pay for the total rent all together every month if I sign up for utilities. So, have to save on electricity. Besides, the houses are 5.1 miles away from my uni! Though there are free buses every 30 minutes to fetch the residents, but I think I still have to prepare early because the journey might take 15-20 mins, not including the walking I have to do after reaching campus. Breakfast will be prepared every morning. It's a good service but I do not know whether it is healthy and tasty or not. The manager even said that I will only sign my lease agreement on the day I arrive US. So, I have to pay on the spot, sign on the spot and move in on the spot since she said I can move in anytime in August. However, the lease ends on 15th July every year. I don't know where am I going to live from that date until 14th August. Gonna try looking for some temporary room when I am there in the states. Hmm...what else? Oh! Roommate matching service is provided. Hopefully I end up living with pretty good roommates. Weight room, pool, internet are included in the rent too, together with hushwall! I like this criteria. I can have the room all to myself without worrying about disturbing others, especially when I webcam with my bf. Unlike other living places, Brookside Townhomes has no computer labs which provide free printing. Guess I'll have to find a solution for it.

Next would be my visa. All the SEVIS fee, visa application fee and service fee are paid. Now just left with...oh ya! I forgot about visa photo! Gonna find one day to take it. Totally forgot about it. So, I just left with the form, visa photo and interview. Lot of things to be done actually. I've not even start buying winter clothes, luggage bags and etc... Can't believe that the day to fly to US is so near. Start to feel a bit scared. ~.~ NO MORE HOLIDAYS... wu~wu~wu~ =(

Yeah! First Outing after Working and in June

Guess where I went.
This time I didn't go far.
Still in SP. Maybe 20 minutes away from home?
Starts with 'V'!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------> VILLAGE MALL!

Ever since Village Mall having cinema and leisure mall, I have not been there. I didn't even know that there's a big leisure mall where I can play the jungle arcade (forgot its real name), time crisis 4, time crisis 2, house of dead 4, etc... these are a few of my fav, particularly time crisis 4 = BEST! Oh ya, for those who plays time crisis, please do not play time crisis 3. It's no fun, maybe because it's too hard. So, do not waste your time and money in it. Better go for Time Crisis 4! I sound like fans of it. XD Maybe I am. ^^

My outing started at 5pm, right after I have bathed. Then, upon arriving, I was lucky to see two beauties. One was my ex-schoolmate and another one was her friend, which I don't know her, but she's quite pretty too. Then we chitchatted awhile on the way going to the cinema to buy tickets. (They were going to the cinema too and they didn't know where it is.) So, ah peng and I bought the tickets, RM 11.00 each, 7.30pm. Deng deng deng~ PRINCE OF PERSIA! It's not a bad movie after all. To me, it's surprising since I thought it's going to be just an ordinary movie but it managed to amaze me. Well, it's a movie to watch if you have no idea what and which movie should choose now. =D Too bad that the movie "When in Rome" is only available at mid-night! I wanted to watch it when I saw the trailer while helping ah peng to check the showtime of all the movies in Village Mall. Never mind, shall ask someone to dl the movie for me one day, if I could remember. Hehe... However, I'm looking forward to the "Karate Kid"!!! I think it would be a great movie. Hopefully it won't disappoint me. =)

After buying tickets, I couldn't hold my hunger any longer. Thus, we chose Pizza Hut (actually, should be just him who chose it as I do not hope to eat food which I can eat most of the time in US!) Each of us ordered single set of pizza, which was RM 8.50 per set, with a mushroom soup, glass of pepsi, plate of bread stick and small pizza. He ordered triple chicken and... I forgot what I ordered. Triple chicken taste better.

We spent one hour in having the meal! When we were in front of the leisure mall, it's about 7.00 pm. So, we played Time Crisis 4 for half an hour but I didn't manage to finish it. (My skill sucks) Ah peng finished the game in 30 mins and using only one credit. He is so pro in Time Crisis. About 7.35 pm, we rushed into the cinema. We missed new trailers =( but it's fun to see him play arcade.

Done with the movie, it was just 9.40 pm. So, we played the jungle arcade. The game was exciting and thrilling! We felt tired, exhausted and nervous. We kept gasping for air. Haha! 喘啊!For the first time, I used lesser token than him! Wahahaha! He used 3 credits and I only used 2 to get to the same point. However, we didn't finish the game as it's time to go home. His friends were rushing him to go CC too. Thus, we leaved Village Mall around 10 pm. On the way back, went to McDonald to have a sundae cone to soothe our dry throat. Too bad, we were told by the staff that the sundae was a bit liquefying. So, we didn't buy it in the end.

Finally, I reached home at 10.20 pm. Satisfied with the 5 hours outing but to be honest, not fully satisfied due to the incomplete of Time Crisis 4. (Hope ah peng won't read this.) XD
He said he might call me out to have tea time (LAKSA!!!) tomorrow. :D See whether this event is really on tomorrow.

Goodnight! It's time to O~ O~ lo!!!

What I Have Done in May

I have no idea what to say. Maybe it's because I have too much to say but I don't know how to say them. Recently, someone had complained to me about my blog. He said, "you have not updated your blog for centuries!" Ya ya, I know. I have things to say but too bad I have no photos to show together, plus, I was too lazy.

Let's start with what I have done during this holiday.
Mine is pretty much normal, or I should say, BORING. Unlike others, I don't get to go to trips with friends, touring nor travelling. Right after packing all my things and got back home, I indulged myself in playing FB and games. Through FB, I found out lots of my friends had done their medical check-up and passport. Thus, it motivated me to do the same. So, I was busy for 2 weeks with those things. (Because I have to go to hospital for 3 times and 7th of June would be the 4th time. =.=") Unlike someone I know, he doesn't have to wait or go to the hospital for so many times. He just went there for a few hours then he is done with the check-up and all the tests. Even TB test's result (Mantoux test) can be written at home! Plus, he doesn't have to pay a cent!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TRIP
Ok, I did go to a trip, but with my mom and her friends, me being the only kid! My mom and I went to Hatyai. We woke up as early as 4.45 am and took off at 5.30 am. Reach Hatyai around eight something. We went to temple and waited for hours to see the sifu. Don't look down on these things. I started to believe in what the sifu said. Do you know that he knows what major I am taking without people telling him?! I only filled my name and my birthday. That's all. They have a book which can calculate some numbers out, and those numbers symbolizes certain things like number of kids (even number of boys and girls, he knows!), years of working in certain company, years of marriage etc... People would think it's normal that he knows how many years I studied but among of all the people there, only my mom and I know what my major is. Somehow, I believe him. Right after visiting the temple, we went to have our lunch since it was 1 pm already. We had our lunch in a Thai restaurant. The food was delicious and awesome. We had crab meat, seafood tomyam ( I prefer M'sia tomyam more), salad, pork, fried vege (I don't know the name of the vege, but it was one of the best dishes) etc, only RM 22 per person. Oh ya, the rice given was blue in color. First time in my life, I saw blue rice and it's tasty, not oily or sticky.

After having meal, it's SHOPPING TIME! We went to a market. There's lot of bags, food, shoes. My mom and I didn't buy a lot. We bought two pairs of shoes for my dad, one high heels and a handbag for me.( will upload the picture of the shoes and handbag if possible.) Then my mom bought some sort of oil for massage and some doi doi, the green, light brown and dark brown triangle kuih. We had coconut and sugar cane drinks at the end of the shopping trip.

Here is the bag. Taken on 6th June 2010. In Ah Peng's car.

Don't ever think that women will never get tired by shopping. Hence, we went to have body massage. My mom and her friends went for it but I was just sleeping there, beside my mom while she was having her relaxing massage which cost her RM 50. It was comfortable to be sleeping there in air-conditioned room for I think one hour or two. Maybe I was too tired.

Right after that, we started our journey back. Luckily, we didn't have our dinner there because if not, we would have come back later than mid-night. The border toll was jammed, with lorries and trucks. We were stuck there for quite a long time.

That's the Hatyai trip with mom.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After that one day trip, my life was back to be normal and boring again. Done my passport and renewed driving licence. Played FB games and mahjong. However, this time with new activity, which is online shopping! Created an E-bank account and I started buying stuff. I bought clothes, masks, and cosmetics. Those products are from Korea or Taiwan, which I plan to bring to the states. Shopping online is so much easier but the bad thing is you have to pay the postage fee, which is usually RM 6 and transaction service fee, RM 2. Thus, you can imagine that I have spent lots of my time facing my lappy everyday, looking at clothes and cosmetic products. Besides, I was busy reading. Nah~ I won't be so hardworking reading textbook. I was busy with novels. XD Read a few novels, even read back one novel I have read before.

Starting the 21st of May until 30th May, I wasn't wasting my time too much on FB and games, not even at all for online shopping. For the reason of I AM WORKING! From 1 pm until 10 at night, no doubt I was exhausted. I slept less than 8 hours per day because I webcam with my boyfriend and use those free time to play games and read novels. For those who have read novel before, you should know that you can't just quit the novel once you have started reading one chapter.

Finally, I was so relieved to finish that 10 days of work. I thought I could sleep all day long the next day. Guess what. My parents were "discussing" over a matter at 8 am in the morning downstairs. FYI, my dad speaks quite loud and even louder when he is discussing (somehow, to me, he sounds more like arguing than discussing all the time). For those who know me well, I am a light sleeper. That's how I was awaken from my precious sleep! I slept at around 3.30 am and I became a superhero for waking up at 8.10 am! Don't forget about me having sleep deprivation for 10 days!

And now, I am here, updating my blog. Again, I am going to sleep at 3.30 am. =.=||

Times Square Trip on Public Holiday

Items Bought:
长皮夹 (RM 40)

(Front)

(Back, but don't know why this photo is not horizontal one.)

Inside the purse. I love the part where I can keep my coins.

There's a place for me to keep my sim card and memory card as well. =)

Here is the small bag for me to keep the purse. Nice, right?

Next would be Couple Watch!
I've been finding this watch for a long time since the first time I saw it in Times Square.
Then, I failed to find it when I went to Times Square again to meet with Yi Wen which was during Thaipusam.
Luckily, I found it yesterday. =P hehe! His watch is black color. Mine is silver white.

Because of the light reflection and maybe handphone camera resolution, I couldn't take a clear photo of it. But I think the pattern of it is quite clear. It's like a flower, opened up with its petals written with 12, 3, 6 and 9.

Here is another photo of it.

Jacket! (RM 30)

I lost my white jacket when I came back from JB end of last year. So, he promised me to buy me a jacket. I found my favorite jacket in one of my favorite shops in TS.

Followed by a small jacket which I wanted to match with my dress. (RM 25)

Have been finding this kind of small jacket for some time already. At last I found one that suits me, plus it's not expensive like one jacket that I saw in my hometown during CNY. 45 bucks!

Handbag (RM 25)

Since my old one is already tear and wear, so I have to buy a new one. As usual, my handbag isn't expensive or branded. This one is a very simple and plain handbag. Its function is to carry books to class. Heehee. =)

I plan to buy a backpack in the near future. I saw one in TS yesterday. It was dark red and white. Cost: 53 bucks. But somehow, I think it's too big for me but he said it's good to bring it to US. =.=" I will consider about it first. =P

KFC as lunch while Subway as dinner. If possible, I plan to go to Jusco to have sushi in sushi king since my roomie said the service there is not bad. =)
This trip might be common to others but to me, it's awesome! Maybe because it's the first time we really shop together in TS. But he's very tired after that. Went to bed right after his dinner. Feel sorry about that. hehe.
